LEIGH BOWERY A TRUE ERA OF THE LONDON CLUB SCENE !!!!!!!!!
These images are from an exhibition of Johnny Rozsa, infamous for taking gorgeous celebrity pictures in the eighties, these are some of his images of Leigh Bowery from the late eighties .
Leigh Bowery had a club in Leicester square /London which was very underground where the likes of John Galliano,Boy George, and some of fashions greatest superstars would hang out in their young days and party till the early hours. The last shot ,was of the Trojan doorman.
It was a great era for make-up and inspired the likes of some of the worlds leading make-up artists such as Pat McGrath.
Leigh's pig image was even featured as the cover of ID in the early nineties......
Thanks to Colin Gold a cult member of this scene , for taking me down memory lane...
