INFLUENCES FROM AFRICA

It is very well known that Tribal make-up has had a huge influence on fashion for many many years,not only just in make-up but also collections such as Marc by Marc Jacobs spring summer 2010!


I think that the concept of playing around with bright vivid colours in a creative manner might seem for the runway or a fashion magazine only but we have to always be a little brave when trying something new,so even though I am not suggesting that you would paint lines across your face or indeed brush yellow powder across your cheeks ,as with everything in fashion if you dilute an idea down there is always a way to bring just a hint of an influence into a look for an occasion,perhaps it is a blue pencil dotted across your eyeline or a choice of 2 colours,blue and pink side by side ,a wash of a colour across your cheek for instance but very muted.
